Will Uwe Boll ruin the Batman series that Nalon has made awesome... or will he just completely destroy it?
In a statement released by Warner Brothers executives late yesterday afternoon, Uwe Boll will be in the driver’s seat for the upcoming Batman movie – but at a costly price. In protest of not working with Christopher Nalon, Christian Bale is refusing to work with the infamous director stating:
“There’s no f---ing way I’m going to allow myself to be captured on camera by that clueless b------. The guy doesn’t have an ounce of talent in him and I can’t believe Warner Brothers made a f---ing mistake like that. It’s absolute bull----.”
The announcement that Uwe Boll will be directing the next Batman movie has sent shockwaves throughout Hollywood. Many actors, and directors for that matter, are questioning the decision on passing Nalon for the likes of Boll. Boll is notorious throughout the movie industry for his negatively reviewed films. That asks the question: why would Warner Brothers hired Boll for the job?
The answer apparently is due to the fact the movie company doesn’t want to wait around for Christopher Nalon. This contradicts what was stated months ago by Warner Brothers in that they “will wait for Nalon to be ready to direct the next Batman movie” instead of “us going to him.” In their statement released to the press the other day, Warner Brothers were quoted saying:
“Uwe Boll as a lot of creative direction and we believe he will be perfect for the job as the director for the next Batman movie. We [Warner Bros. executives] feel that he will do as good of a job with the series as Nalon has done with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. We don’t want to wait around for Nalon anymore since it appears he is done making anymore Batman movies. We also feel the delay in the projects will cause our fans to lose interest in the series completely.”
Upon hearing the news of Boll becoming the new director for the next Batman series, Christian Bale has pulled out of his new deal to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader for a third time. He might not be the only person refusing to work with Boll as there are rumours that Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman all joining Bale in protest. This move could seriously hurt the popularity of the movie if all actors should refuse to sign on for the next film.
Uwe Boll was said to be excited about the news and has begun plans for the new Batman movie. Reports say he is going to call the next movie “Batman: Dark Crusader” and is looking to cast Kristanna Loken as the Catwoman and Michelle Rodriguez as Poison Ivy. Both actresses have worked with Uwe Boll in his movie BloodRayne and it’s believed the director loved their chemistry together – so much so that he (Boll) plans for the two villainesses to be involved in a lesbian relationship. The movie is still in planning but many are praying the storyline changes.
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight director Christopher Nalon has refused to speak to anyone about the move by Warner Brothers, but reports from those close to him say he is very angered by their decision. One source stated that Nalon said this was the “ultimate betrayal from the company and he would never direct a film for them again.”
