Thoughts On The New Bucket
March 14th 2008 11:38
I thought I would take some time to post my thoughts on the new direction I've taken the Bucket towards. About a month ago I switched from my old format which would include a daily post focusing on one aspect of the film each day. I stopped posting 6 posts a week as I began to find it a little hectic. I decided to change my format to posting a full synopsis of the movie on one day then give my final thoughts a few days later.
I think this new format is going very strong at the moment. I know some of my readers had a little trouble keeping up with my posts daily but now that's its nailed down to just two days a week I believe its not that much of a hassle for people to keep up-to-date with my posts. The amount of stress for this website has been lowered greater for me and I am love writing up my reviews. It's given me a lot more time to work on my scripts and my books, one which is finished and I will be looking around for a publisher in a few weeks time. I'll keep you all up-to-date with that as the weeks / months go on.
I would like to know how you guys have been finding the site in terms of the posts being too long. I think the posts might be better if they were cut up into three parts instead of two since it might be a bit long for people to read. I don't think I will make one gigantic post since I personally don't like reading a massive wall of text and I general don't flood my posts (or my books) with massive chunks of paragraphs. I keep it all short so it allows readers to easily read through without having to lose their way down a big paragraph.
Any feedback on anything would be nice and I would like to thank everyone for helping this website grow.
On a side note I've been watching some more movies and no, they haven't been crap though one movie that just came out almost fell victim to the Bucket. I watched 10,000 BC the other day and it was on the borderline of being tossed into the Bucket. The effects were visually pleases as were the costumes and the sceneries but the script was poor. Basically people it's a Hollywood love story set in a time where cavemen roamed the world. I didn't like the movie but I liked it enough to save it from this website.
And the list of movies continue to grow here Bucket Heads. My friends have been suggesting to me more movies by the day to watch and one movie they are begging me to watch is Cloverfield. I'll watch it and see how it fairs. I think I'll try to watch a bunch of movies that came out recently so everyone can relate to them more.
That's about all for now. Monday I'll be posting up my review on Fear Dot Com so until then have a safe and fun weekend!

Congratulations on your book and script, that's great.
I'm happy with the Bucket's format, paragraphs definitely make it easier to read.

Glad to see that my short paragraphs are allowing for a quick and easy read. It's the same style that I've been using in my books which the few people who have read it said made it quicker and easier for them to read.
Thanks for your support!
