Nick might be rich now but he is still an asshole.
We all know that Nick is now the vice president but the idiot just figures it out now. Now he is being an asshole to everyone. He finds Bristol and starts treating him like crap. Nick meets his boss and acts all chummy with him. They are going to have a dinner conference with a potential client. Nick leaves his work and can’t find his car. Now picture him walking past this awesome golden BMW and it’s the only car in the parking lot. Who wants to bet that it is his car? Nick pulls out his keys and finds out it is his car. Seems like he parked the BMW with its roof down so anyone can steal it.
Nick drives around the city trying to get in contact with Julie. Nick goes to the restaurant with his boss, his boss’s daughter and the French businessman. Nick gives a rundown of what the company is promoting, again with the phone that can capture photos, and it appears that the French guy is willing to do business. Nick heads to the toilet and the daughter follows him in there. She sweet talks him and start to rub his crotch? In a public toilet? In the MEN’S ROOM!? Why is there a girl in the men’s room that’s so unnatural! Anyway, it appears that he is cheating on Julie with this whore. They start making out then being ravaging each other in a public toilet. Wow, what if someone was using the toilet at the time? Did they even think about who could just walk in there? These assholes don’t care about anything, they even leave a tap running and waste all of that water.
This movie proves that while a couple are engaging in sex in the public men's bathroom no one will walk in.
After his midnight snack Nick drives home and Trevor jumps him in the parking lot. Damn he looks like crap. It turns out an old business deal with someone called Malcolm has gone wrong and he wants his $250,000 back. While talking to Trevor, Nick finds out that he is no longer with his girlfriend Julie and gets pretty upset about it. Nick heads to work the next day and asks for the money to pay back Malcolm. The boss gets pissed off, says the French guy bailed and the company is completely bankrupt. It turns out the phone photo thing wasn’t a good idea after all. Nick finds Trevor at work and tells even we’ll take care of Malcolm.
Nick wants to talk to Julie and can’t find her anyway. He even heads back to his old apartment only to find nothing. He heads over to Malcolm club that is holding some fashion show and amazingly finds a brunette haired Julie taking photos of the models. She’s better off as a blonde and not a brunette. She is now seeing another guy called Chris and Nick is shattered. See I told you that Nick was going to worry more about his job then anything else. Nick tries to tell Julie to come back with him but she doesn’t want anything to do with him or the boss’s daughter he was banging in the first place which lead to their break up. Wow Nick is a complete asshole in this new life.
Nick and Trevor go to Malcolm office and have tea with him. Nick tries to con his way out of trouble and tells him again about the crappy phone camera idea. Malcolm looks like he is going to kill someone, so he grabs Trevor’s head and slams it down into the glass table, shattering it and killing Trevor. Wow that was pretty brutal for a nightclub owner. Nick takes off and Malcolm bodyguard chases him through the nightclub with a gun. He starts firing it and Nick runs into Julie, who gets caught in the crossfire. They go into a toilet and Nick holds a dying Julie in his arms. Nick looks at a photo of him banging that woman and tries to go back but the bodyguard finds him and knocks him out cold.
The Software Development Industry, just as dangerous and ruthless as the Cosmetic Industry.
Nick wakes up in a bed getting oral sex from who he believes is Julie but it turns out to be Malcolm gay business partner. Wow… I didn’t see that coming. Nick tries to escape but a fight breaks out between the two. Nick throws the gay guy down the stairs and makes a run for it. He talks to his mum about the events that have been happening and she thinks he is going crazy like his father who said he could go back to the past. WOW! They completely took that out from the first movie so this is the only thing linking the first movie to the second.
Amanda meets Nick with the photo of the four at the campsite a year back. She’s scared but Nick tells her that everything is going to be right. He says he would do anything for all of those guys so it sounds like he is going to kill himself like the other guy did in Butterfly Effect 1. But I don’t get this crap, the only thing is he screwing up is himself. Every time he makes something better for himself HE does something to screw it up. Anyway he jumps back to the time at the camp and we go to the start of the film.
Nick and Julie walk off alone and Julie wants to tell Nick something, but he cuts her off and tells her to go to New York and start her art career. He breaks up with her, and Julie tells him that she is pregnant! I was right! She WAS pregnant! Julie gets upset and drives off so now it seems that Nick just screwed up another life. Nick steals someone’s jeep and speeds off after her. Nick catches up to her and tells her he’s sorry and begs her to slow down and pull over. Now he manages to convince her to do so, as a car speeds down the lane he is going up. Julie slows down for Nick to pull into the lane, but for some God damn reason this moron veers off the cliff hence killing himself.
How the HELL was that going to change anything? All he had to do with pull into the lane and that was it. In order to prove my point I have decided to draw a picture of the event.
According to this picture the results have concluded that Nick is an idiot.
See what I mean people? He could have just moved in front of her and the two could have lived together happily ever after but he unnecessarily killed himself. What an idiot. Anyway a year goes by and Julie is talking to a ‘Nick’ in her New York apartment. Aww they two had a little baby boy but too bad Nick was too much of an idiot to kill himself or he could have enjoyed this little family. Wait a minute, the baby looks at a photo of his dad a year ago and the room starts to shake. Crap, can anyone else smell a potential part three?
And so that is the lovely story of Butterfly Effect 2. I’ll be posting up my top five loathes for this movie with some final thoughts on the movie in a few days. I hope you have enjoyed this review as I did not enjoy watching this piece of crap. See you all in a few days!
