The Bucket Fills!

The Bucket continues to be filled up with even more crap Bucket Heads! I checked my notes on the movies that I watched and I realised that I have almost run out of movies to start posting up. The past two months have gone damn quick I didn't even realise! So what does that mean for the future of the Bucket?

Well nothing really it just means that I have to start watching more movies over the next week. I will have my review up on Volcano this week and the following week I'll probably be posting another. In between all of this I will be watching a TON of movies and start working in their reviews. So what do I have install in the months to come? Let's take a look at the list.

Alone in the Dark.
The Black Hole.
Boa vs. Python.
Death Proof.
Epic Movie.
Fatal Contact.
Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
Home Alone 3.
I Am Legend.
Little Man.
Norbit.
Rush Hour 3.
Shoot 'em up.
White Chicks.

Now if you're thinking that some of these movies that are going to be featured on this website shouldn't be because you think some are good movies, tough! I'll be sitting through these movies and more in the next few weeks and I'll be passing judgment. Hell, some of these movies might be saved from my attack if they turn out to be good.

On that note I must depart. It's time to give my DVD a good run for it's money. Until my next review take care!

Hi Wayne

I haven't seen any of the ones you listed, they seem like non-typical crap, I'll be waiting to hear your judgements

I'll be interested to hear what you think about Death Proof, I've heard so many different opinions about it.

Have fun and don't forget to watch something good inbetween,

TRacy

Hey Tracy,
Good to see that I've for support going while I face these deadly movies. I just finished watching BloodRayne 2... God someone needs to beat the crap out of Uwe Boll. They shall be plenty of Uwe Boll bashing to come with that movie and Alone in the Dark being posted here in the weeks to come.

I have not seen Death Proof yet but a lot of people have told me it really sucked. I'm a Tarantino fan and when I saw the trailer for this, I wasn't too impressed with it. Time will tell but I think I am going to be very disappointed by this movie.

Thanks for your support! And I'll try to sneak in a good movie to save myself from going insane.

Hi Damo,
Haven't heard of those movies before but I will definitely give them a watch if I can get a hold of them. I'll keep my eye out for both of those movies.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll add it to the list!

(P.S: I just finished watching Boa vs. Python... I think a lot of you are going to be shocked at what I had seen. It definitely was the very first time I have seen anything like that before...)

10000 BC. I almost gouged my own eyes out during that one. Maybe it actually stood for 10000 Buckets o' Crap. I just wrote about wanting to walk out of it. I didn't. I should have. I must have been feeling particularly masochistic that night.

Good luck on your next viewing mission. I look forward to reading about it.

Hey Cheryl J,
I too watched 10,000 BC and I kinda agree that it did stand for 10,000 Buckets o' Crap. I might be adding it to the pile later but it really sucked knowing even Cavemen can have a happy Hollywood ending as well.

I loved the animation of the animals in the movie, all 3 minutes of it. Other than that, it was a love story set back in a time when Cavemen spoke perfectly good English and had corny lines.

Thanks for your support!

hi Wayne F,

I enjoyed Shoot Em up for what it was, a film with no illusions about it's target. I did a review of it HERE if your interested.

Found it far superior to trash like The Rock, Con Air, The Mummy etc.

Hey John,
I added Shoot 'Em Up on the list to watch since a few friends of mine told me to watch it since it was so unrealistic it wasn't funny. If it was anything like Ecks vs. Sever I think I'm not going to enjoy this, however I do like some movies that have mindless violence. Judging on your review it seems the movie was meant to be one of those unrealistic films where anything can happen.

I'll give it a watch and I'll make my judgement. Who knows I might even like this movie. And what was wrong with The Rock, Con Air and The Mummy!? I enjoyed watching them, they aren't on my Top 10 favourite list but I still liked them.

Cheers dude!

Hi Wayne F,

The Rock, Con Air and the Mummy etc all featured stupid scripts, contradicting and uneven plots, with truly boring, generic action scenes that are over edited and underdeveloped. Insulting the audience, worst of all they had that "seen it all done better" quality that just makes me want to see the originals. Also I was embarrassed for most of the casts who had to obviously done one for the studio.

I don't mind films that are aware of what they are doing or have a cartoonish quality but these ones seemed clumsy and slapped together.

There is many other reasons but I don't like wasting my time talking about such worthless crap.

I see your point on those type of movies that try to things good but just pull it off badly. Most of the movies I've watched are shining examples of those. Sometimes it may look like a movie was aimed at being a bad movie on purpose, until people find out the director was actually trying to make a serious movie.

I'm not that big of a fan of movies that make a crap movie with the intend of it being crap. Most of the time they just come off being pathetic, just like Snakes on a Plane. Again I'll wait and see if Shoot 'Em Up is Bucket Worthy.

Thanks again John!

Hi Wayne F,

I hated Eck's vs Sever and Snakes on a Plane as much as you. They seemed to just not even try to entertain....I can't defend Shoot em Up as anything but trash action, it is just that every scene surprised with it's john woo style choreography and never wavered in tone...after all films like "Big Trouble in Little China" are all time favourites, so that gives you an idea of where I'm coming from.

I don't think your going to like Shoot Em up though by the sounds of things...

I did like Big Trouble in Little China as well . I mean there are some movies out there they can be good movies if they are intended on being bad, and can pull it off well. Most of the movies who try to be a good movie by making it bad deliberately often become a bad movie regardless.

Then there are those movies that become popular for being a bad movie. Roadhouse is a good example. I don't know how someone like love a movie for being a bad movie when it IS a bad movie. the world is a strange place...

It's been a few years since I've seen the movie I should try and find it the next time I'm out haunting my video store for crap movies. It would be a nice treat in between watching so much bad movies.

Today I watched The Black Hole, Epic Movie, Fatal Contact, & Little Man. I am struggling through each of these movies! They are just so damn bad I want to rip my hair out! Tomorrow I think I'll be watching another four, maybe five just to get all of the horror out of the way.
