What is a Bucket Movie? Overlooked, weird and rare films, that for one reason or another fell through the cracks and failed to get a mainstream audience. Cult classics, unknown oddities and the extremely hard to find, finally get the press they deserve here!
It's no secret that sometimes the story behind a movie if often more
Zombierocker
These guys totally rip off Dethklok
entertaining than the movie itself, and sometimes the goofiest movies happen when a film maker has nothing to loose. Krishna Shah is an Indian American screen writer, who made a number of American films in the 70's and 80's his magnum opus was to be “American Drive in” a movie based around a number of goings-on at . . .you guessed it . . .an American drive in. Of course, that movie isn't the one I'm reviewing. To avoid expensive licensing fees Shah decided to make a short 20-minute zombie film to show on the drive in while screening, just some stock footage to be in the background. Shah realized that he actually had enough budget to turn this little bit of second-unit footage into a full length movie, and one a whim he decided to make “Hard Rock Zombies”.

The story of “Hard rock Zombies” is so odd it's almost immaterial. An 80's hard rock back plays a gig in a small southern California town populated by rednecks, Nazis, werewolves and perverts. They're killed during their own concert, and are brought back to life to fight off a zombie apocalypse set in motion by none other than Adolf Hitler himself. Oh, and one more feature that makes this movie awesome: Zombie Nazi Dwarfs, you can't loose with that. As goofy as this movie is, it seems very self-aware. It knows just how weird and goofy it is, and it celebrates that weirdness in every scene. It's not a creepy, spooky Zombie film that takes itself to seriously, it's a quirky fun b-movie that practically makes fun of itself.

I've seen a lot of bad movies, I mean a lot of bad movies. Hell, I've even been in a bad movie. This movie, is possibly the worse movie I've ever seen. But it's not bad in a bad way, it's bad in a fun, campy, goofball kinda of way. It's like a youtube video of a guy wrecking a motorcycle, sure it's bad for the guy but the rest of the world can laugh at it. Only a movie this goofy can give you an undead rock band thwarting Hitler, a Zombie dwarf eating itself, and a Werewolf married to Hitler. A movie this absurd shouldn't even exist, but it does, and that makes a guy like me smile. Watch this movie with friends, the more people your with the more you'll laugh. It's a movie that just about happened by accident and if you enjoy bizarre, dark humor you need to see “Hard Rock Zombies” at least once

Ah M. Night Shyamalan, you've done it again!

Well look who it is Bucket Heads – it’s Mr. M. Night Shyamalan. What a HUGE surprise it is to see him here on this website! In case you haven’t realized now yes I am acting sarcastic… duh! If you’ve been following this website you’d know that this is Shyamalan’s THIRD movie that has been reviewed here. That takes a lot of effort to be here for a third time… unless you’re name is Uwe Boll then it just comes naturally

Only in a movie can a woman this ugly turn into a super hot chick - It's nice to see a movie that encourages people to get a huge make over isn't it?

Ah Paris Hilton – gotta love to hate her. Ever since she starred on that (fake) reality show where she was visit “normal American families” she hasn’t gotten out of the spotlight. After that she branched out (against her will) into the world of pornography. It looked like things were looking up for Paris… since she was flat on her back! See what I did there

Bad guys getting clobbled by a falling barbell? That's OLD SCHOOL!!!

The next day Alex takes the video recorder to his toy car and hotwires it to his TV so he can see what is going on. He drives the car to the house that Peter is in. Alex sees a cat – Doris the rat hides – and Alex chases it. Peter scares Alex when he sees the car and chases after it. Peter knocks a basket of washing on the ground that covers the car. Alex aims his remote gun at the TV in the house and switches it on. He then calls the house and puts the parrot on the phone, so Peter thinks there’s someone inside. Alex makes a break for it but Peter grabs the car outside and hands it to Alice

"Better than the first two"? Someone needs to find that guy (or lady) who wrote that and punch them right in the face!

Eighteen years ago a movie was released around the world that was loved by people of all ages – general speaking of course. The movie would make one Macaulay Culkin a huge childhood movie star. That movie was of course Home Alone and it is one of my favourite childhood movies. Even adults loved the little smart-ass kid who completely screwed two stupid criminals from breaking into his house – as well as gasped in shock at his irresponsible parents for leaving their son behind
