The Fat Controller: Jolly fat man who runs a train network... or a corrupt vicious businessman?
If the wonderful world of movies has taught me anything it has to be that there are many industries in the world that many people think aren’t ruthless. Trust me Bucket Heads we have been deceived by the media for too long. They are paid by these evil corporations to cover up what really goes down in their business.
Remember Catwoman? When I reviewed that heap of kitty crap we all learnt that the cosmetic industry would go to the extreme measures of murder to cover up side-effects of their products. After watching Bugs it is safe to say that railroad engineering industry appears to be just as ruthless, if not even more so than the cosmetic world. Need more information? Well let’s have a look!
THE RUTHLESS WORLD OF THE RAILROAD INDUSTRY!!!
So what makes this industry just so dangerous? Let’s start off with Mr. A who runs the railroad construction business. I’m going to call him Mr. A since A = Asshole and I cannot remember any of the character’s names in the movie. I looked it up on IMDB.com and I can’t even match faces to names so I’ll most likely be giving everyone nicknames in this movie.
Mr. A is a very wealthy business who is also a total asshole, as are the majority of rich people in movies are portrayed. There’s a dead body found in his tunnel and he is pissed off due to the fact that the dead body was found in his tunnel and not in someone else’s. Not only that, he is annoyed since he was due to take more rich assholes on a train to show them the ground breaking tunnel that is being built so they can give him more money.
During the train ride with the rich people Mr. A is safe in his office and gets a visit from the FBI, who’s investigating the murder in the tunnel. When they inform Mr. A about the alien bug species that are living in the mountain he was drilling through, Mr. A tells them to get the hell out of his office. He does not care about bugs he only cares about making money. Even when the rich people on the train get butchered by the bugs he still refuses to allow the FBI and SWAT to go in to kill the bugs, but who is going to listen to him anyway?
It appears that Mr. A was playing dumb about the bugs in the tunnel. It turns out that he and many other people knew about the prehistoric bug nest but he did not tell anyone since he wanted to get his tunnel build. Not only did he not tell anyone he bribed the entire team to keep their damn mouths shut about it as well. You’re men find what would be the biggest discovery since dinosaur bones and you don’t want to tell anyone? If the bugs weren’t active this idiot could have made himself even more rich by selling off the nest to the highest bidder!
Mr. A is so desperate to make sure that no one knows about the bugs in the tunnel that he flies over to the mountain personally, catches up with the FBI/SWAT crew and offers them $20 Million to leave the tunnel and to keep their mouths shut. Hell I’m sold. If I were offered that much money I would take it but this is a movie people and our heroes are too damn patriotic. So if bribing fails what else is left to do? Lock up the people you want to silence in room with the killer bugs. Mr. A takes it TO DA XTREME and leaves everyone in a room to die with a big wasp-like bug thing. It’s ok remember people, rich people can do whatever the hell they want.
Unfortunately Mr. A does not achieve his mission in stopping the FBI/SWAT from destroying his tunnel in order to prevent a global disaster. Not only does he fail he also gets killed by the one thing that he was trying to ‘save’ in a way, and that was the queen bug. If he were smart he would have allowed the FBI into the tunnel with his fullest consent then inform the media that the lives of millions of people are far more important than any tunnel. This would have given him a huge popularity boost as well as make him richer from the exposure.
Seriously though, I really hate it when movies throw stereotypes of rich people in my face when I watch them. This is just another example of a rich guy trying to stop people from saving millions of lives in order for him and/or her to remain rich / get richer. This guy was willing to let out thousands of bugs that would overrun America so he can make more money? Where’s the logic in that? That’s right it’s a crap movie and logic went out the window along with a good script. Speaking of which tomorrow we’ll be looking at the whole movie. Brace yourselves for some badness people, brace yourselves.
Rich people risking the lives of millions for a tunnel… ‘tis a mad world sire!
